I have just come to know of the death of Shaykh Hasan Le Gai Eaton. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’oun. May Allah grant him solace in the grave and Janna in the hereafter.

I have never met LE Gai Eaton but for some reason but I truely feel this is a loss for those who are living. I pray Allah grants him the highest station of Jannah. Surely at every passing away of learned men like Le Gai Eaton, we the muslim and the world at large have become that much poorer. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’oun. May Allah replenish this world with such creation that moves the heart and awakens our intelect.
Probably the foremost European Muslim intellectual, he will be sorely missed. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.
