The following book by Shaykh Shoayb Ahmed is an excellent example of the scholarship that the Ummah experienced in the 20^th Century. It is a biographical dictionary that includes in it short biographies of more than 140 scholars from the 20^th century including luminaries such as Badr Al-Deen Al-Hasani, Muhammad Zahid Al-Kawthari, Hussain Ahmad Madani, Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Al-Ghumari, Ibrahim Al-Ya’qubi, Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah, Abu Al-Hasan Ali Al-Nadwi, and many more.
