[Guest Post] Journey to Jannah

Journey to Jannah

By Zeynab Mohamed Abdi- Dahir

I am tired of all this Drama and Fitnah!
It hurts, and its deceiving and frustrating!
How I wish that I would be given Shahadah!

I could slip away unnoticed. Into a deep sleep uninterrupted.
Wake up in a garden of paradise, Be Glad and rejoice!

My face Jubilant and Bright!
Allah the Glorious, full of Might!
His Mercy, covering me completely,
I sink into the soft ground contently.

My best friend at my side, holding my hand.
Telling me stories, of lofty beds and rows of drinks and pillows lined for a luxurious feast!
I seem so far away from home, but I’m not afraid in the least.

Who is this friend you ask?
He is my good deeds and I have fulfilled my task!
My Lord had elavated me!
Alhamdulilah.
Praise be to him for eternity!

Allah, you have opened a door from Jannah for me!
Oh the wonder and delight, no I eye can see!
The fragrance wafting through the dazzling door!
Oh, I can’t bear the suspense anymore!

I yearn to reunite with my family whom I adore!
In the life of the Dunya I often say, I can’t bear the separation anymore!
In the life of the Barzakh, I hope to say,
Oh Kind and Merciful Creator, make the hour happen, please make it happen now!
Alhamdulilah! Praise be to you .
To you alone we Bow!

Words can’t describe

The way we feel

The hurt, the disgust

It’s so unreal

You begged for mercy

And they had none

You asked for water

And of you, they made fun

Tied to a pole

And beat with a rod

Sixty plus injuries

All this you endured

The news has shook the world

How humanity can sink so low

We will avenge your death

Let those perpetrators know

Your cries weren’t unheard

Cos now the Angels are your friends

The pain is no more

Cos you’re a martyr in the end

Rest in Peace my brother

You’re in a better place

May your family find Sabr

Knowing that you’re now safe

Justice will be served

For the world is now behind you

And let this be a lesson

For anyone else in their shoe

Human-Kind

Human-Kind

As 2014 ends and 2015 begins

I think to myself, where have I been?

What have I done? How have I grown?

What deeds were done? What seeds were sown?

In life there is no pause, rewind or forward,

Just continuous play, onwards and upward.

Treasure the moments, for once gone, won’t return.

Grow with the passing of time, as the clocks continue to turn.

What is our plan for the future?

What will we leave behind?

Not more of the same, I hope,

Let us be more Human-Kind.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Was a Messenger
He wasn’t a bad person
He was the best Believer

He worshipped Allah
He was the best drawrer
He was a very strong man
He was a forgiver

He is not a changer
He was the first to say Bismillah
He is a role model
He always prayed to Allah

He was the last Prophet
He was the best of Prophets
He battled his way through in Makkah
Then he lived in Madina

He was our Prophet
He prayed in the Night
He taught us
Not to fuss and fight

Poem: You were sent by Allah

You were sent by Allah

You were sent by Allah
You were named Al Amin
You were born in Makkah
In the year of Al Fil

You are the last Messenger
Who was sent from Heaven
You lived a tough life
With no blood brethren

You learnt the Qur’an
At 40 years old
And through the Angel
The Qur’an was told

You taught mankind
How to live right
You are a guide for us all
In how to live life

Muhammad (SAW) is our role model
Not Messi, not Ronaldo
Live your life as a Muslim
Not like a troll

He was born in Makkah
Battled his was through
He was very smart
For him knowledge was easy
Like one plus one which is two

The Qur’an was revealed to him
When he was forty
In Mount Jabal Nur
Through the Arch Angel Gibril
And during the Hijra
He hid in Mount Thur

He came with Islam
His enemy was Shaytan
He taught people from far far lands
And walked on the very hot sand

His face was like a gem
His companions were women and men
He always did his best
And never did he rest

So let this be an example
And a lesson to you
Follow him (SAW)
And be nobody’s fool

A Mercy to Mankind – Muhammad: The Chosen One

As it is the month of Rabi’ Al Awwal, I would like to try and compose a poem/rhyme dedicated to Our Master Muhammad (Alayhis Salam).

I shall start with a few short verses, and then every day of the month, I shall try and add to it at least one line, in honour and praise of Our Messenger (Alayhis Salam).

Bismillah.
