  1. No one should purchase anything from the rootsdistribution website! They are thieves, I ordered Hamza yusufs CDs from there but they never gave me my product but took my money! I doubt they are even Muslim! Their email doesn’t work and when I phone them it only goes to voicemail! They haven’t replied I’ve left many messages!

Please continue to e-mail them and call them insha Allah. If you paid via Paypal you should be able to get a refund through Paypal. JA

  2. This is what we in Africa have been waiting for! As much as this centre is meant for the West, Inshallah, it will benefit us as well.
We face bewildering times and require guidance that will reflect the true nature of humanity,Islam, and not the whims of people.

  3. My attempt at translation (with a little help from Google). My sincere apologies but hopefully you get the idea

“His Excellency, Prof. Abdullah bin Bayyah, the well known Islamic thinker announced the establishment of The Global Centre for Renewal & Guidance based in London. It will contribute to reconciling the texts of revelation and values of Islam with the heritage of the nation and will provide contemporary, rational answers to issues thrown up by globalization and modernity.

The center is an independent institution not linked to any political entity.

The Centre’s objective is to help the Islamic renaissance by examining emerging issues and providing solutions to deal with fundamentalism using a dialogue between Islamic jurisprudence, humanitarianism.

The Center seeks to promote moderation and wisdom in line with the Quranic injunction to ‘Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom’. The centre aims to maintain communication between global Islamic centers in order to exchange knowledge and respect the views of others. The Centre will focus on: the rights of Muslims wherever they are; human progess; and the reformation of ideas and their related.

    Rationality and interest

The Center will try to shed light on: the values of tolerance and Sharia justice; consultation and communication; the link between the present and the historic Shariah texts, their purposes, assets and rules based on the principle of rationality. Their will be collaboration on various issues linked to the problem of globalization: violence and terrorism; women’s empowerment; democracy and human rights”.
