05 Sha’ban 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Everyone has a share of the reward for good deeds

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:

“When a woman gives in charity some of the foodstuff (which she has in her house) without spoiling it, she will receive the reward for what she has spent, and her husband will receive the reward because of his earning, and the storekeeper will also have a reward similar to it. The reward of one will not decrease the reward of the others.”

02 Sha’ban 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Deeds are presented to the Lord in Sha’ban

Usama ibn Zaid (May Allah be pleased with him) reports that:

He asked the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace): “Messenger of Allah, I have seen you fasting in the month of Sha’ban so frequently that I have never seen you fasting in any other month.” The Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) replied: “That (Sha’ban) is a month between Rajab and Ramadan which is neglected by many people. And it is a month in which an account of the deeds (of human beings) is presented before the Lord of the universe, so, I wish that my deeds be presented at a time when I am in a state of fasting.”

Â’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said:

“The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allâh be upon him) used to fast until we thought he would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allâh fasting for an entire month except in Ramadân, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Sha’bân.”

23 Rajab 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Do not loathe the Scholars

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to Abu Dharr (RA):

“When the Muslims begin to loathe scholars and are preoccupied with commerce and its development, obsessing over accumulation of wealth, God will then direct at them four tribulations: loss of productivity, oppressive rulers, corrupt justice systems, and enemies who find them easy prey.”
