18 Ramadan 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Be careful Not to Commit Wrong Actions in Ramadan

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:

“Perhaps a fasting person will get nothing from his fast except hunger and thirst, and perhaps a person who prays during the night will get nothing from his prayer except sleeplessness.”

[Related by Imam Ahmad and Ibn Majah]

Committing wrong actions whilst fasting will cause you to lose the reward for the fast and gain nothing from the fast except hunger and thirst as alluded to in this hadith.

16 Ramadan 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Allah Liberates People from the Fire in this Month

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:

“Every night during Ramadan, at the time of breaking the fast, God has a million people He liberates from Hell. During the night of Jumuah, or during its day, He liberates one million people every hour. Everyone one of them deserves to be punished in Hell. Then during the last night of Ramadan, He liberates a number equivalent to the number He has liberated from the beginning of the month until the end.”

11 Ramadan 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Generosity in the Month of Ramadan

It is reported from Ibn ‘Abbas that:

“The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was the most generous of people with good things, and he was even more generous during Ramadan when Jibril met him. Jibril, peace be upon him, used to meet him every night in Ramadan until it was over and the Prophet would go through the Qur’an with him. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was more generous with good things than the blowing wind.”
