The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“The good dream is from Allah and the bad dream is from Shaytan. When you see what you dislike in a dream, spit to your left side three times when you wake up and seek refuge with Allah from its evil. Then it will not harm you, Allah willing.”
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“When one of you sneezes, he should say, ‘Praise be to Allah,’ and his brother or companion should say to him, ‘May Allah have mercy on you.’ Then he should say, ‘May Allah guide you and put your affairs in order.'”
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“All of you are shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock. An Imam is a shepherd and he is responsible for those in his care. A man is a shepherd in respect of his family and is responsible for those in his care. The woman is a shepherd in respect of her husband’s house and is responsible for those in her care. The servant is a shepherd in respect of his master’s property and is responsible for what is in his care. All of you are shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock.”
[Agreed upon – From the Riyadh As Saliheen of Imam Nawawi]
“I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘What do you think would happen if there was a river by someone’s door in which he washed five times every day? Do you think that any dirt would remain on him?’ They said, ‘Not a scrap of dirt would remain on him.’ He said, ‘That is a metaphor of the five prayers by which Allah wipes out wrong actions.'”
A woman said: “Apostle of Allah, my mother suddenly died; if it had not happened, she would have given sadaqah (charity) and donated (something). Will it suffice if I give sadaqah on her behalf?” The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “Yes, give sadaqah on her behalf.”
