Wed Circle Supporting Fund Raiser for Libya | 20 June 2012 @ 7:30pm

Asslamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,

You may recall last year you helped the Wednesday Circle raise over £130 for comic relief by donating for the children to write a story for Comic Relief.

The book was written and is currently published on the Kindle website.

This year we are helping sisters Jasmine and Nargis to raise money for Human Aid to help provide essential medical supplies in Libya which has suffered greatly from the recent civil war.

We are going to be holding a cakes and sweets sale, courtesy of Jasmine and Nargis, at next weeks Wednesday Circle on Wed 20 June 2012 at 7:30pm to raise money for Libya. We would be grateful if you could come along and support us. The circle is a boys circle held at St Hildas Community Centre, Club Row, London E2 7EY.

Fairy cakes will be sold at 30p a piece and sweet packets will be sold at 60p a piece or two for £1(you are welcome to donate more)  – see pics attached. All money raised will be donated to the above medical fund. Advance orders for cakes and sweets welcome (please email me).

If you are not able to attend in person you can donate online via the following link (please mention the Wed Circle for reference in the comments section). Any amount will be highly appreciated:

Other ways you can help is by telling any friends and family that live in the area to pop down on Wednesday and support this cause.

May Allah bless and reward you for your time.

23 Rajab 1433 | Hadith of the Day | Do not loathe the Scholars

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to Abu Dharr (RA):

“When the Muslims begin to loathe scholars and are preoccupied with commerce and its development, obsessing over accumulation of wealth, God will then direct at them four tribulations: loss of productivity, oppressive rulers, corrupt justice systems, and enemies who find them easy prey.”
