The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“Whoever stands up (in worship) in the nights preceding the two Eids expecting rewards from his Lord, his heart will not die when the other hearts will die.”
On this blessed night of 27th Ramadan, please consider donating a little something to Islamic Relief’s Water4Life campaign. Every little helps and will go a long way in providing clean accessible water to those that have no access to water.
You can donate online or via text to 70070 with the message BDIH47 and amount in pounds. e.g. BDIH47 £1
May Allah bless you immensely in this possible night of Laylatul Qadr
A big JazakAllahu Khair for those that have donated already. My love and gratitude goes out to you and I will pray for you on this blessed night insha Allah.
“When the last ten days of Ramadan started, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray during the night, wake up his family and intensify his efforts.”
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Perhaps a fasting person will get nothing from his fast except hunger and thirst, and perhaps a person who prays during the night will get nothing from his prayer except sleeplessness.”
[Related by Imam Ahmad and Ibn Majah]
Committing wrong actions whilst fasting will cause you to lose the reward for the fast and gain nothing from the fast except hunger and thirst as alluded to in this hadith.
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Every night during Ramadan, at the time of breaking the fast, God has a million people He liberates from Hell. During the night of Jumu’ah, or during its day, He liberates one million people every hour. Everyone one of them deserves to be punished in Hell. Then during the last night of Ramadan, He liberates a number equivalent to the number He has liberated from the beginning of the month until the end.”
