Ibn Hibban narrated from Muadh ibn Jabal: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Allah looks at His creation in the night of mid-Sha’ban and He forgives all His creation except for an idolator (mushrik) or a one bent on hatred (mushahin).”
“The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allâh be upon him) used to fast until we thought he would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allâh fasting for an entire month except in Ramadân, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Sha’bân.”
The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:
“If someone clings to asking for forgiveness, Allah will appoint him a way out of every constriction, and relief from every care and will provide for him from where he does not reckon.”
The Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Shall I tell you who the best of you is?” “Yes,” they replied. He said, “Those who remind you of Allah when you see them.” He went on to say, “Shall I tell you who is the worst of you?” “Yes,” they replied. He said, “Those who go about slandering, causing mischief between friends in order to separate them, and desiring to lead the innocent into wrong action.”
That night Afsana went up to her room and locked the door shut. With tears rolling down her eyes she contemplated the evening that had just passed. Many lessons had been learnt that evening. She learnt not to put too much hope in others and that sometimes fate had other plans for a person than the one they had envisaged for themselves.
“The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) often rubbed oil in his head and also often combed his beard. He put a cloth over his head, which became like an oil cloth due to the frequent use of oil.”
“A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. You should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a loser.” said the Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him). He (may peace and blessings be upon him) also said “When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks to marry your daughter, comply with his request. If you do not do so, there will be corruption and great evil on earth.” Continue reading Chapter Seven: The Conversations→
